How event passes work
An event pass covers one event, from setup through to the day itself. Most people run an event and then do not run another for a year, and a pass means nothing is paid for in between. Pro and Business are monthly instead, for the people who are running the next one already.
Passes are not tied to a date and do not expire between events, so you can hold one until you need it. Running two events at once uses two passes — one each — rather than an upgrade.
Your free event is a real one. Guests contribute, the wall runs, the capture station works. What it does not include is the premium tier: premium themes and the quiz.
